HUMAN SERVICES TRANSPORTATION PLAN FOR THE OKANOGAN REGION

UNDERSTANDING TRAVEL IN OKANOGAN COUNTY – PLEASE HELP US

We are updating our Human Services Transportation Plan, or HSTP. The HSTP looks at how people get to health care, groceries, work, school, senior centers, and other essential destinations when driving isn't an option.

We know that’s not easy. This is a rural region. TranGO and OCTN do a lot, but they can’t be everywhere.

That’s why we need a strong network of transportation providers, each doing what they do best. Public transit, the Tribes, private carriers, and many nonprofit organizations all play an important role in helping people get where they need to go. We also need better ways to help people find available travel options, coordinate trips, and make it safer and easier to reach those services.

Better travel options start with better information. That’s why we’re asking for a few minutes of your time to answer some questions. It will help us better understand the barriers and unmet needs that make travel hard, especially for people who don’t drive.

Please click this link to take our survey. It won’t take long, your responses are completely anonymous, and it really does help. Please share it with others, too.

Respond by August 6th to help shape the update of our draft Human Services Transportation Plan.

While you’re here, check out our draft update of our Human Services Transportation Plan. We’d love to hear what you think.

Thank you for helping us to make travel better for everyone across Okanogan County!
